² Jehu the seer, the son of Hanani, went forth to meet him, and he said to the king: “Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, the wrath of the Lord will strike you. ³ Even so, some good can be found in you, for you have removed the sacred poles from the land and have set your heart on seeking God.”

Jehoshaphat’s Appointments. ⁴ Jehoshaphat resided in Jerusalem, but he regularly went forth among the people, from Beer-sheba to the hill country of Ephraim, and brought them back to the Lord, the God of their ancestors.
